During our Costa Rica school trips, we combine surfing with visiting waterfalls, volcanoes and hot springs. You will experience snorkelling, yoga, action adventures and waking up to the sound of wild monkeys and singing birds.
SURFING IN COSTA RICA
Santa Teresa is famous for great waves and playful conditions for all levels throughout the year. The mile-long beaches are framed by lush jungles and swaying palm trees. Beginner and intermediate surf lessons often take place on the beautiful beaches of Playa Carmen and Playa Hermosa. This idyllic setting is just a short walk away from the surf camp and guarantees the perfect surfing environment. Catch white-water and green waves in the clear, turquoise and warm Pacific Ocean.
OUR PARTNERED SURF CAMPS IN COSTA RICA
Location, privacy and reputation are guaranteed by our international surf camp partners at Lapoint. Their tranquil surf camp in Santa Teresa goes beyond expectations. Walking distance to the beach, lush jungle surroundings and excellent private surf camp facilities. Surf lessons, yoga and full catering, are all included.
Lapoint’s surf camp consists of the main villa and adjacent bungalows, accommodating 29 students and five staff members within the dorm and twin bedrooms. The rooms have a rustic design, plenty of light, comfortable beds and modern facilities. During your free time, choose from socialising in comfortable hang-out areas’, taking a dip in the swimming pool or relaxing in shaded hammocks.
FLIGHTS & TRANSFERS
Return flights from the United Kingdom to San Jose and private transfers to Santa Teresa are included for all students and staff. The flight time from the United Kingdom to Costa Rica’s San Jose airport is typically 11 hours direct or 15 hours with one stopover. Regional airport departures may require a flight supplement.
On arrival in San Jose with your Group Leaders, our partners will be waiting with private transport to begin the journey to La Fortuna. Following two nights in La Fortuna to explore the volcanoes, waterfalls and hot springs, we’ll begin the coach journey to your surf camp in Santa Teresa. Before departing on your return flight to the UK, we will travel to San Jose the day before (airport hotel included).
