Although a swell magnet throughout the year, April to October are the most popular months for beginners and intermediates, due to less powerful swells and warmer temperatures.

These idyllic surf trip locations guarantee beginner-friendly and intermediate beach breaks, beautiful surroundings and friendly surf communities.
Stay at high-quality and fully catered surf houses in Ericeira, offering unrestricted sea views and within walking distance from Ericeira’s cobbled streets and thriving surf town. Alternatively, join us on Portugal’s more touristy Southern coast with our partners in Lagos, or stay in the countryside at a surf camp in Alentejo.
FLIGHTS & TRANSFERS
Flights and overseas transfers are included with all Schools Go Surfing bookings. Return flights to Lisbon airport (Ericeira) or Faro airport (Lagos/Alentejo) include one piece of hold luggage. As a popular holiday destination, we’re able to offer flexible departure dates to Portugal from regional airports throughout the United Kingdom.
The flight time from the United Kingdom to Lisbon and Faro is typically under three hours. A Schools Go Surfing Representative will either travel with your group or meet you at the airport on arrival. Our overseas partners will then facilitate your private airport transfers to the surf camp.
